Pearce Construction are the developers/ builders of the Lower Abbots housing development – this adjoins Hillpark and the Community field. Pearce, alongside the Parish Council, have already facilitated a community open meeting regarding this development, and have also had ongoing discussions with the Parish Council at the pre planning application stage.
Following consultation with parishioners, this area of land was designated for development and it has been included in the Parish Settlement Plan. The Parish Settlement Plan has subsequently been adopted in the North Devon and Torridge District Plan, and has since been agreed by the government, and published in the autumn of last year.
Pearce, together with the Parish Council, will be holding a viewing session of their outline plan in the Chapel School Room from 4pm to 7pm on Monday 4th March. Parish Council would welcome comments on the development’s composition and its provisions.
