Geoffrey Cox M.P.
Geoffrey Cox lives in West Devon, near Tavistock, with his wife, Jeanie and his family. Geoffrey was born and brought up in the West Country, is the son of a soldier and his family have been Devonians for generations. He is strongly involved in the local community, and among other posts, is President of the Tavistock Football Club and a Vice President of the North Devon Hospice, which he named as his local charity. He has been the Conservative Party Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency of Torridge and West Devon since 2005. He worked as a barrister from 1982 onwards and was appointed a Queen’s Counsel in 2003. On 9 July 2018, he was appointed Attorney General and gave up private practice; prior to this he had been the highest earning MP in the UK.
