The Playing Field is found at the top of Tower Hill with access signposted through ‘Castle Meadow’ to the car park and gate or via ‘Northwood Lane’.
Buckland Brewer Playing Field is managed by Buckland Brewer Playing Field Association (BBPFA). The BBPFA consists of a small group of volunteers who give up their time to manage and maintain this much loved playing field and playground. There are fantastic views of Exmoor and Dartmoor, a large open grass field, young children’s play area, goal posts, skateboard area, basketball hoop and pétanque pitch.
Dog owners must keep their dog(s) under control at all times. There are dog poo bins and please ALWAYS clean up after your dog.
Please note that the field adjoining the Playing Field is owned by the Parish Council and rented out to a farmer. Although a public footpath goes diagonally through this tenanted field, it is NOT a dog exercise field.
We need YOUR support to keep this field and children’s play area maintained. Grass cutting, insurance, equipment inspections etc all cost money and each year it gets more expensive to keep this area a safe and an enjoyable space for all. Please consider joining the Buckland Brewer Playing Field Committee (BBPFA) to help support and improve this playing field. We meet only a few times a year and we are always looking for people with energy and enthusiasm. Please contact the Secretary if you would like to know more:
