Medical & Health Facilities
There is no GP surgery/ Health Centre in the parish. Nearest medical centres are located at Torrington or Bideford (both 6 miles, 10-15 minutes from the centre of the village).
There is a defibrillator located outside the telephone kiosk on the village green, one outside Buckland Brewer Hall in Hillpark & one on Thornhillhead Moor.
There is an Air Ambulance landing facility (which accommodates night flying) by Buckland Brewer hall at the end of Hillpark.

If you cannot or do not wish to see your doctor,for most health concerns, dial 111. You will get a response and if a visit to Accident & Emergency or an ambulance is required, you will be advised of this during your telephone consultation.
Accident and Emergency – the nearest is North Devon District Hospital North Devon District Hospital in Barnstaple, about 30 minutes drive from centre of the village.
