Some drivers may have failed to notice, but there is a speed limit of 20 m.p.h. throughout the village – there are signs as you enter from any direction. This applies to all vehicles.
Others may have noticed that the speed limit alert sign (VAS) by the allotments isn’t working….at the moment. This is not because the speed limit of 20 m.p.h. does not apply, but simply because the VAS needs mending – please be assured that whilst this may be taking time, it is being dealt with.

Common sense and basic courtesy to fellow humans do get us a long way though. If you see people walking on the road through the village it’s because there are no footpaths, there aren’t likely to be in the foreseeable future, and people do need to get on foot from A to B.
