The Education Support Fund helps students full or part-time acquire some extra funding towards their studies. The fund is generously supported by a local donor and by our own fund raising activities. We are always grateful to accept donations from the residents of the Parish. In the past six years we have awarded grants amounting to over £10,500 to 23 members of the community embarking on their further Education.
It’s that time of the year when decisions are being made about future education plans for the beginning of a new academic year in September. If you are 16 years and over, and you have lived in the parish of Buckland Brewer for a year or more, and you are about to embark on studies, or are currently studying full-time or part-time (see below), then you are eligible to apply for an Education Support Grant. All applications are treated anonymously.

Full- time could include school, college or university courses etc. This could be for travel, laptops, course-related tools or other financial support needed for the course you are taking Part-time could include evening classes, day release for apprentices or Open University etc
