The Parish Council has been awarded a special grant of £1,000 to help organisations get themselves back on their feet following the awful couple of years of Covid that we have all endured.
Although Torridge is currently ‘leading’ the scoreboard of districts with the highest number of cases, we are, for the most part, starting to meet face-to-face more often and it is very pleasing to see so many groups ‘re-booting’. If your group would like to apply for some extra finance to help with the cost of getting up and running again please do so as soon as you can by contacting me.
I will need to know how much you would like and, if it is to cover costs that you have already incurred, if possible, copies of supporting invoices. Do not be afraid to ask, even if you feel that your finances are fairly robust.
The Parish Council will be as liberal as it can in interpreting your needs. It is very keen to see this money fairly distributed to the organisations that provide the many and diverse groups in the parish.
