Some residents will have received (and hopefully read) a letter from Western Power Distribution advising of an interruption to the village power supply.
Thanks to a reader who has kindly contacted me and been able to provide a little more information. Western Power advises the following impacts only 33 houses and that all those households have been advised. They are unable (or unwilling) to advise which ones. If you are in any doubt – e.g. possibly your letter may have gone astray – then best advice is to ring Western Power and double check.
This is a reminder to all to keep freezers closed, maybe make a vacuum flask or two (if you don’t have gas or other capability) and be aware that if you are using Airband(internet service) from the church tower, even if you access it via something battery driven it may not function.
The outage to the 33 unspecified properties is advised to be on Wednesday 7th July from 0900 – 1630 (with the usual caveats).
This piece of work has been managed without consultation with or advice to the Parish Council, and any concerns or resulting issues should be addressed direct to the numbers given on your Western Power letter.
