Is there something biblical sounding about the heading (as in “the moving finger writes” etc)? More possibly it is vaguely portentous, intentionally.
Readers, having had a great opportunity to meet each other, put names to faces and faces to unknown neighbours, now is the time for you all to consider the management and future of this community. In other words, revisit the advice given from this page -more quickly than you may think, a number of elections will be upon us, one of which is for the Parish Council. At least one, possibly two or more, parish councillors will certainly be hanging up their spurs and even if they weren’t, every resident has a right to offer their services in this way.
Election means election – don’t be thwarted because you think roles are filled. They’re not – not necessarily anyway.
