On the 17th March, our parish clerk wrote to us all as follows:-
“Coronavirus Update 17th March 2020
The Parish Council meeting scheduled for 8th April has been cancelled.
It is also highly likely that the Annual Parish Meeting on 22nd April will have to be postponed, but that decision can be taken later.
In the meantime, the Parish Council is acutely aware that many voluntary services (not least, itself) rely on the support of older members of the community; the very people who are now most likely to self-isolate or to need their neighbours’ support.
In particular, the Community Shop is already struggling to find enough volunteers to stay open.
It is time for younger parishioners to take on some of these responsibilities. If you think you can help in any way, use the contact information in the pages of this website or trawl through a copy of Village Scene and offer your help where you think you can do most good.
Most of all, stay calm, stay healthy and be a good neighbour.
