The defibrillator and cabinet fixed to the phone box (lending library) have both been replaced and the equipment is registered and ready for use.
The new cabinet is a locked one:
1) If it’s the nearest defibrillator, the operator will tell you the access code when you dial 999 to call an ambulance. OR
2) If you call 999 for the access code from outside the phone box, you do not have to quote a cabinet number. (There isn’t one.) The 999 operator will simply ask for details of your location and will identify the defibrillator from the national database.
The cabinets at BB Hall and Thornhill Head are unchanged at present
